infants + toddlers
Our goal at Hillside Church is to care for every member of the family, especially our smallest ones. We have several exciting programs for your kids that we invite you to take advantage of and consider serving in.Kids Quiet Room
Located in a room on the Family Balcony (take the stairs at the back of the meeting space), we invite parents who have more active children to relax with their kids in the Kids Quiet Room. This provides a place where parents can hear the music and message broadcast to the room but give the kids the ability to move around a bit. We would simply ask that you respect others who are trying to listen to the service and keep the volume down to a level where everyone can listen.
Mother’s Room
Located in the Family Balcony, we set aside a room for nursing mothers. We provide couches and chairs that are comfortable for nursing mothers to meet their infant’s needs during the service.
Infant Room
Located at the top of the stairs in the Family Balcony, our Infant Room is staffed with screened, trained and excited volunteers who love caring for your children as you enjoy the service. Children 10 months –18 months should be checked in at 10:45 a.m.
Toddler Room
Located at the top of the stairs in the Upper Balcony, our Toddler Room is staffed with screened, trained and excited volunteers who love caring for your children as you enjoy the service. Children 18 months to 3 years should be checked in at 10:45 a.m.
Registering Your Kids
Should you chose to take advantage of either our Infant Room or Toddler Room, we ask that you please check your child in at 10:45 to give our volunteers plenty of time to get you and your child situated before the service. You can find the check in room at the top of the stairs in front of the coffee bar. We offer these services on a volunteer basis, so we ask you to cooperate with our volunteers and obey all of the rules that have been set up.
Please note a few things for the safety of your children: (1) If your child becomes inconsolable, we will find you and ask you to care for them yourself; (2) We will close our Infant Room should the ratio of workers to kids falls below safe standards; (3) Children who are sick will not be allowed in the nursery for the well-being of the other children.
Security
We care very much about the safety of your children. When you check your child in you will receive ID stickers with matching numbers. You will need to show the check-in person your ID stickers when you are ready to pick up your child.
