our values
DevotionWe are a community of individuals committed to studying the Scriptures in order to recapture what it means to live as true followers of Jesus in our world at this time. We want to model every area of our lives after the way of Jesus. We dedicate ourselves to pursuing truth, living authentically, allowing Jesus to transform us and loving God with our whole being. (Matthew 4:18-20 & 16:25; 2 Timothy 2:15)
Wholeness
We believe that the love of God is the most transforming power in the universe and that salvation is holistic in nature. We are engaged in a continual process of this inner journey with God whereby we experience His deep healing from all of our brokenness, fears and sin. Through this process we become fully integrated individuals, discover our purpose and live fully alive in God. (Matthew 11:28-30; Philippians 1:6; Luke 19:10)
Community
As humans we are created to live in deep relationships. We want to fashion an environment where regular people can experience the real God. We are a genuine gathering of people who desire to carry each other’s burdens, share our possessions, encourage and pray for one another, as well as celebrate and suffer together. We are committed to each other because the life of Jesus is not meant be lived alone. It is through these sacred relationships and honest, loving interactions that God transforms us. (Genesis 2:18; John 13:34,35; Acts 2:42-47)
Service
We believe that true religion meets the needs of real people. We seek to be used by God in our daily lives as agents of change and healing in our world. We are passionate about building God’s kingdom and sharing his message of love by the way we help the one in need. We begin in our local neighborhood, our personal spheres of influence and extend ourselves to our city, our nation and our world. (James 1:27 & 2:1-9 Luke 22:25-27; John 15:7,8)
Celebration
We are engaged in a passionate and living relationship with God which causes us to celebrate this life we live. We are dedicated to expressing our love for God in the ordinary things we do every day as well as in deliberate acts of worship, financial giving, communion and prayer. We believe that the life in Jesus is the best possible life and we want to enjoy it and express ourselves out of it. (Romans 12:1,2; I Corinthians 11:23-29; Malachi 3:10)
